Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Choudhary Traders collects, why we need it, and what we do with it.
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
When you buy on installments at the shop: your name, mobile number, and — if you give them — your email address and postal address. Where a loan is involved we also record your Aadhaar and PAN — the number, and a scan of the document — because we are required to identify the person taking the loan.
When you use this website: your mobile number to sign in, and the pages you visit. If you send us a message through the contact form, we keep what you wrote and how to reply to you.
About your loan: the product bought, amounts, due dates, payments made and any late fees.
We do not collect more than we need, and we do not ask for information that is irrelevant to selling you a product or running your loan.
3. Why we use it
- To set up and run your installment loan, and to show it to you in your account.
- To take payments and issue receipts.
- To send you reminders before a due date, and to tell you when a payment succeeds or a late fee is applied.
- To sign you in, using a one-time code sent to your mobile.
- To answer your enquiries and provide after-sales and warranty support.
- To keep the accounting and tax records the law requires us to keep.
4. Payment information
Online payments are handled by our payment gateway. Your card number, UPI PIN and net-banking credentials are entered on their secure page and are never seen or stored by us. We keep only the amount, the date, and the gateway's reference for the payment, so we can match it to your loan and issue a receipt.
5. Messages we send you
Because your loan has due dates, we send service messages by SMS, and by email or WhatsApp where you have given us those details. These are not marketing — they tell you what is due and when, confirm your payments, and warn you before a late fee applies. Marketing messages, if we ever send any, are separate and you can ask us to stop at any time.
6. Who else sees your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share the minimum necessary with:
- our payment gateway, to take your payment;
- our SMS, email and WhatsApp providers, to deliver messages to you;
- manufacturers and their service centres, when you make a warranty claim;
- our accountants, auditors and advisers, and any authority we are legally obliged to disclose to.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your loan, payment and invoice records for as long as the law requires us to retain financial records, and for as long as any amount remains outstanding. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.
8. Keeping it safe
Access to customer records is limited to shop staff who need it, each with their own login and only the permissions their role requires. Sign-in codes are stored hashed, never in plain text. Every action that touches a loan or a payment is recorded against the staff member who performed it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these steps seriously.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong — you can also update your own details in your account;
- delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep. We cannot delete records we are required to retain, or those needed to run a loan that is still outstanding;
- stop sending you marketing messages.

10. Cookies
This website uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. It is required for the site to work and carries no advertising. If we add analytics, this policy will be updated to say so.
11. Children
Our installment loans are for adults. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you.
